All is vanity. What good is man’s labor under the sun if he is not content? I look about and I see a world filled with children of God uncertain about many things, all due to very small number of people who control them. They cry out to the Holy Spirit and God’s justice responds.

A generation passes, but another generation takes its place: “How long must we suffer?” a homeless old woman cries out and an angel is sent to her. The sun rises, and the sun sets but the judgment God is difficult to perceive.

Man’s glory is like [a] match, his wickedness last but a short time, but the earth abides forever. As the judgment of God proceeds, the world is undisturbed. In the wilderness, the silence of a quiet lake is broken by an eagle who raptures a snake near the water’s edge and more terrorists are judged.

The lake grows quiet again.

The earth is at peace, but inequality is [a] roaring lion. Nothing is done. “The next olympics!” says a man “The world series!” says another “and we will make them forget. ”

Behold another generation is taken, but the world has felt it not.

Another generation rises.

“We are the new masters of the earth!” the herald cries for the next generation ignoring the woman and children in front of them begging for money. Soon the new masters are taken and the earth is stilled once more made quiet by the justice which has shaken it.

In a distant field, a farmer’s plow has wedged itself into the earth, his wife comes to his aid. A peaceful wind blows to the south, then turns to the north. Then the wind returns whirling about continually. The animals move about the forest. Like water is taken into the air before it is returned, I see the souls of angels ascending and descending.

The life of good people are filled with labor. They comprehend God, but do not perceive the justice of God which surrounds them. The saints break bread and take communion.

In an office building two men are working and speaking. One says, “repent for the judgment of God is at hand!” To which the other responds, “There is no God, I will enjoy pleasure and darkness. I will give myself unto wine for I have made me great works; I have written books! Lo the lore of our debauchery!, I own houses, vineyards, gardens, orchards, trees of all kind of fruits: I have servants and maids in my house; I own silver and gold, and hire men singers and women singers, and take delight in the sons of men, as if they were musical instruments needing to be played. What more is there under the sun? Judgment? Please. There is no God.” and he was taken away for his crimes were indeed grievous, but the other was passed over.

The judgment of God is not easily perceived. It thunders on some days, and is like a soft rain on another.
